Na het succes van vorig jaar houdt studievereniging Equilibrium dit jaar weer een duurzaamheidssymposium. Het symposium vindt plaats op 5 juni 2024 van 12:30 tot 16:15 in de Gerardus de San zaal, Zernikeplein 07. Catering is aanwezig, met vegetarische en veganistische opties.

Programma:

12:30-12:45 Inloop

12:45 Start door het bestuur van Equilibrium

13:00-13:30 Bertus Jeronimus: Presentatie over klimaatverandering, klimaat angst, solastalgia en maatschappelijke keuzes.

13:45-14:15 Thomas Freese: Groene Chemie, duurzame productie van waterstof en waterstofperoxide, omzetting van biomassa, en duurzame laboratoriumpraktijken.

14:45-15:15 André Heeres: Belang van chemie in de circulaire transitie, duurzame materialen en recycling van (bio)plastics.

15:30-16:00 Anouk de Boer - Poelstra: LEAF-project voor verduurzaming van laboratoria, gericht op categorieën zoals afval, water, en apparatuur.

16:00-16:15 Afsluiting met daarna een hapje en drankje.

Following last year’s success, Study Association Equilibrium is organizing another sustainability symposium. The symposium will be held on June 5, 2024, from 12:30 to 16:15 in the Gerardus de San room, Zernikeplein 07. Catering will be provided, with vegetarian and vegan options available.

12:45 Opening by the Equilibrium board

13:45-14:15 Thomas Freese: Green Chemistry, sustainable production of hydrogen and hydrogen peroxide, biomass conversion, and sustainable laboratory practices.

14:45-15:15 André Heeres: Importance of chemistry in the circular transition, sustainable materials, and recycling of (bio)plastics.

15:30-16:00 Anouk de Boer - Poelstra: LEAF project for laboratory sustainability, focusing on categories such as waste, water, and equipment.

16:00-16:15 Conclusion followed by refreshments.
