Wadlopen – 16 mei

Let op: de wadlooptocht is verplaatst van 25 april naar zaterdag 16 mei om 15:00. Dit vanwege een tekort aan aanmeldingen. Heb je je nog niet aangemeld? Dan is dit je kans om alsnog mee te gaan!

Altijd al eens willen weten hoe het voelt om over de bodem van de zee te lopen? Op 16 mei organiseert de vereniging een wadlooptocht vanuit Waddengenot Pieterburen, Hoofdstraat 92 in Pieterburen. Het wad is een bijzonder en dynamisch landschap waar je oog in oog komt te staan met de natuur op zijn rauwst: modder, getijden, zeeleven en een weids uitzicht dat je nergens anders vindt.

Tijdens deze middag loop je samen met andere leden over het wad, waarbij je onderweg van alles tegenkomt. Denk aan schelpen, vogels, kleine beestjes en misschien zelfs zeehonden in de verte. Een gids begeleidt de groep, zodat je veilig en vol vertrouwen het wad op kan.

Praktische informatie

Zorg dat je om 15:00 aanwezig bent bij Waddengenot Pieterburen, Hoofdstraat 92 in Pieterburen, want we vertrekken kort daarna. De kosten bedragen €14 voor leden en €18 voor niet-leden.

Let goed op je schoenkeuze: draag schoenen die goed om je enkels sluiten, zoals All Stars die tot de enkels komen, zodat je niet vast komt te zitten in de modder. Heb je geen geschikte schoenen? Op locatie is het mogelijk om schoenen te huren. Verdere informatie volgt na aanmelding.

Have you ever wondered what it's like to walk across the bottom of the sea? On May 16th, the association is organizing a mudflat walk starting from Waddengenot Pieterburen, Hoofdstraat 92 in Pieterburen. The Wadden Sea is a unique and ever-changing landscape where nature takes centre stage: tidal flats, rich wildlife, and wide-open views you simply can't find anywhere else.

Together with fellow members, you'll make your way across the mudflats with a guide leading the way, so you can explore safely and with confidence. Along the route, you might spot shells, birds, all kinds of small sea creatures, and if you're lucky, even a seal or two in the distance.

Practical information

Please make sure to arrive by 3:00 PM at Waddengenot Pieterburen, Hoofdstraat 92 in Pieterburen, as we'll be heading out shortly after. Participation costs €14 for members and €18 for non-members.

Pay close attention to your footwear: make sure to wear shoes that fit snugly around your ankles, such as high-top All Stars, so they don't get pulled off by the mud. Don't have suitable shoes? You can rent a pair on location. Further information will follow after registration.
